Survival Horror Sound Effects - Haunted House

In this 235-sound pack, my goal was to create a strong palette of audio for the survival horror genre. To keep the theme focused, I narrowed the subgenre and built the pack around a haunted house setting, covering essential elements such as suspicious noises and paranormal activity.

One thing I approached differently than in my previous packs was the recording distance. I captured many of these sounds from slightly farther away from the microphone, because these are the kinds of sounds a player will usually hear indirectly, from behind, above, in another room, or somewhere just out of sight. Even so, I kept the recordings as dry as possible, so you can use your own game engine reverb to place them naturally in spaces such as a bathroom, garage, hallway, or even an outdoor yard if needed. As they are, straight out of the box, these sounds are especially well suited for an old wooden house interior, where furniture, carpets, and wall coverings help soften and absorb the sound in a natural way.

For the female voice recordings, I hired a talented voice actor through Fiverr, and I am sure I will work with her again in the future.
